FilmPhotoDeveloping is an independent, non-commercial project built for the global analogue photography community. Our goal is simple: help film photographers find a trusted local lab to develop their film — wherever they are in the world.
Whether you shoot 35mm colour, medium format black and white, or E-6 slide film, finding the right lab shouldn't be hard. We believe that information should be open, free, and easy to navigate.
What We Do
We research, verify and publish accurate information about film developing labs: their services, pricing, turnaround times, equipment, and contact details. Every entry in our directory is sourced from publicly available information or community contributions, and reviewed before publication.
Our directory currently covers Australia, with expansion to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan and beyond underway.
Community-Maintained
This project is powered by the film photography community. Lab owners can submit or update their listing at no cost. Photographers can suggest new labs or corrections at any time.
We do not charge labs to be listed, and we do not accept paid placements or sponsored rankings. Every lab is listed on equal terms.
Our Commitment
FilmPhotoDeveloping is operated as a non-profit organisation. Any revenue generated supports the ongoing maintenance and development of this directory. No profits are distributed — everything goes back into keeping this resource free and accurate for the community.
